Fans should expect some more news to come in within the next following weeks.

NCIS ’ upcoming exciting spinoff titled NCIS: Tony & Ziva is already on its way to the screens, and one of the lead actors’ recent social media update has come as yet another proof of it.

Putting its focus on Michael Weatherly and Cote de Pablo’s Tony DiNozzo and Ziva David years after they quit NCIS to pursue other career goals, the show will follow all the twists and turns in the couple’s life in Europe where they’ll get reunited and embark on more dangerous missions while still trying to be good parents for their preteen daughter Tali.

Though fans just can’t wait to see the beloved pair back on the screen, they nonetheless shouldn’t keep their specific expectations too high, since the series is already promised to be a completely new and different chapter in the NCIS franchise.

NCIS: Tony & Ziva is still several months away from premiere, but the production seemingly kicked it off a while ago. Tony DiNozzo’s actor Michael Weatherly has been nothing but a true blessing for the franchise’s fans since he’s the only one to keep them posted (literally) regarding everything that’s happening on the production set.

Though the actor doesn’t allow himself any minor spoilers, he did give a hint at something big and new coming in Tony and Ziva’s way in the future series.

Letting fans know that everything is just fine at NCIS: Tony & Ziva’s set, Weatherly posted a picture of himself and accompanied it with an intriguing caption that says “The beginning of a new era has begun within the #ncisverse #tony&ziva”.

Having been in the works for quite some time now, NCIS: Tony & Ziva still appears to be one big secret with no significant plot details, except for its general synopsis, and even with no side actors confirmed.

According to the latest news, the show hasn’t yet found an actress for Tony and Ziva’s daughter Tali, while other announced characters don’t have their performers either.

However, Michael Weatherly’s post is an actual reason to believe that the issue will get resolved quite soon since the production is already in its full swing.

Additionally, the whole shooting process is set to be wrapped later in summer, meaning that fans may expect some more casting updates to arrive sooner than the spinoff eventually comes to the screens.

NCIS: Tony & Ziva will be released on Paramount+ later this year.
