One more proof that actually everyone is sad about it (except for CBS).

Summary:

  • NCIS: Hawai’i has been a hot topic in the media for several weeks regarding the show’s cancellation by CBS, and the series’ cast has recently joined the fans’ heated discussion that stirred up online.
  • One of the show’s actresses has recently given a shout out to the fans that have been involved in a fight for NCIS: Hawai’i’s continued run on TV.
  • Following the news about the show being scrapped, its actors admitted they were united with the fans in their shock reaction towards the cancellation.

NCIS: Hawai’i cancellation news back in April stirred the show’s whole fandom up, but things got even worse when the season 3 finale proved there was supposed to be another season before the series was scrapped for no reason.

Now some devoted fans took all the action into their own hands by following the suit of those who were raging about So Help Me Todd, another one of CBS’ unfairly canceled projects, and creating a petition that now counts almost 34.000 supporters (the initial goal is 35.000).

Such a proactive position didn’t go unnoticed at least for NCIS: Hawai’i’s main cast, and the leading actress was quick to react in so many ways.

Can NCIS: Hawai’i Be Revived?

Vanessa Lachey, who in the show portrayed Jane Tennant, first female Special Agent-in-Charge of the NCIS: Hawaiʻi Field Office, took it to her social media posting a screenshot of an Us Weekly article recounting the fans’ battle against CBS to save their favorite show. Lachey also left her own caption that said “Best. Fans. In the WORLD! Mahalo!”.

Despite all the moody atmosphere that now surrounds anything related to NCIS: Hawai’i, the actress later on celebrated season 3 finale by posting a picture of the main cast posing at a beach in Hawaii with a stunning sunset in the background.

The photo features Jason Antoon (Ernie Malik), Seana Kofoed (Clara Chase), Tori Anderson (Kate Whistler) and Noah Mills (Jesse Boone) and some other people who were presumably behind the show’s camera.

Lachey once again didn’t miss an opportunity to thank all the fans that have been enjoying the series by captioning the photo “We really REALLY LOVE You!”.

Amid all the cancellation news regarding NCIS: Hawai’i back in April, the show’s actors admitted that CBS’ decision had in fact taken them off guard and there had been no plan to finish the series this way.

While the cast is saying goodbye to the beloved police procedural drama and spending time together for the last time, it’s still unclear whether the fans fighting for their favorite show’s revival will achieve any significant result in the near future.

So far there’s no sign of their resignation, thus there’s still a chance that CBS will come up with something less harsh than all this anytime soon.
