Probably the most controversial scene from Avengers: Endgame was the surprising gathering of every female superhero in the final battle of the blockbuster.

Captain Marvel, Scarlet Witch, Okoye, Shuri, Wasp, Gamora, Nebula, Mantis, Valkyrie riding Pegasus and Pepper Potts sporting her own Iron Woman suit appeared in all their glory to fight against Thanos.

The 1-minute scene sparked heated discussions among fans and critics. Some consider it to be a big step when it comes to female representation in films, showing how Marvel has come a long way and how they managed to oppose the typical Hollywood stereotypes.

Some consider the scene to be forced and make zero sense. For many fans, this scene was more about lazy writing than girl power. Isolating an all-female cast looked weird and unnecessary for the plot and outcome of the battle. Fans loved the sentiment but hated the execution.

"The ladies did have several awesome scenes: Scarlet Witch was kicking Thanos' ass, Gamora and new Neb get together in the name of sisterhood, etc. This scene could have been so much better if they had just done Cap Marvel flying through the air with action shots of women (and men cause equality duh) fighting around her. Or just more fight scenes including Valkyrie cause she's the best," one fan suggested on Reddit.

Since Endgame, many fans expressed their desire to watch a spinoff featuring an all-female team of Avengers. The spinoff could be based on A-Force, the comic series, created by writers G. Willow Wilson and Marguerite Bennett and artist Jorge Molina. And since the comic book team leader She-Hulk entered the MCU earlier this year, the chance for us to finally watch A-Force has become much more real.

No matter what fans and critics say, the women power scene has become very special for the actresses participating in it. Guardians of the Galaxy's Zoe Saldaña discussed her experience of shooting the all-female scene with Entertainment Weekly and admitted it was very memorable but not only because of its significance for the female representation in cinema.

Gamora actress said that while working together with her co-stars was very special, she mostly remembers all the small "nuggets of life" like how uncomfortable costumes, makeup, and wigs were or how cold the set felt. Well, even if you are taking part in something truly historic, life takes over and keeps you grounded.
