Most Exciting Easter Eggs in Secret Invasion Episode 1 You May Have Missed

The long-anticipated MCU project we all have been waiting for is finally here. The first episode of Secret Invasion didn't just leave fans with a promising plot, it also dropped some cool little details and references that we are about to break down.
Spoiler alert for Secret Invasion episode 1.
A brick tunnel
In the beginning of the episode, we see Everett Ross (who turns out to be a Skrull) strolling down a brick tunnel that gives off those classic spy movie vibes.
This scene seems to be influenced by a British film noir called The Third Man, made back in 1949 and directed by Carol Reed. Ali Selim, the director of Secret Invasion, talked about it in an interview with New Rockstars, mentioning that the series took inspiration from movies like The Third Man.
Paul Robeson
In the episode, we meet Sonya Falsworth, portrayed by the Oscar-winning Olivia Colman. When she meets Fury, she says: “Large, black man, in Moscow. It could either be Nick Fury, or the ghost of Paul Robeson.”
Paul Robeson was a popular actor and musician back in the 20th century. But he was also known for his political views, — socialist views to be exact. He even visited the Soviet Union, Moscow, and that is why Sonya mentions him.
Spider-Man: Far From Home
Sonya is an agent of MI6, the British intelligence organization. She sarcastically says that she hasn’t forgiven Fury for destroying her flat, and Fury responds “You mean city.”
This is a reference to the events of Spider-Man: Far From Home, when Mysterio caused chaos in London, and Fury happened to be there as well.
Iron Man
When G'iah, portrayed by Emilia Clarke, arrives to recollect the bombs from a Skrull artist, you can spot an abstract piece of art depicting Tony Stark aka Iron Man.
This little detail reminds us that Tony Stark wasn’t forgotten, and his legacy lives on.
Pulp Fiction
Nick Fury later interrogates the same Skrull artist, and it’s very difficult not to remember the iconic scene from Quentin Tarantino ’s Pulp Fiction, where Samuel L. Jackson ’s character, Jules, is also trying to get information from a guy.
Well, he doesn’t ask anything like “English, mother****er, do you speak it?” but the way he mentally tortures this Skrull is very much reminiscent of Jackson's iconic role.
