‘Moon Knight’ Director Teases Possible Crossovers in MCU
‘Moon Knight’ does not seem to have that much connection to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In fact, you could start watching it not having a single clue about what is the Infinity Saga and who is Iron Man – and still enjoy the show just as much as those who know Marvel movies by heart.
For some people there’s no problem with that, but this move is actually quite new for Marvel: up to date, its TV shows were all centered around the characters that have already had a great deal of representation in the MCU. Moon Knight, however, is an absolutely new character, with the story barely mentioning anything MCU-related.
The creators, however, assure that Moon Knight is “very much in the MCU”, according to Inverse. The series’ director Mohamed Diab even has his plans for future crossovers with other Marvel heroes.
“I could see Marc and Steven [the two alter-egos of Moon Knight] driving the characters of the MCU crazy,” Diab says, imagining how it would go. “Marc’s speaking to someone with complete seriousness, and suddenly he turns into Steven, or Moon Knight turns into Mr. Knight. I think it would be amazing.”
Fans could not agree more.
Other people seem to be enjoying the “separation” as of now.
Marvel’s new TV series ‘Moon Knight’ premiered on Disney Plus on March 30, quickly making waves on Twitter and garnering great reviews from both critics and fans.
