From time to time, Spiderman has been rebooted by different studios and directors. And that may actually be the reason why he has maintained the status of the most popular superhero for many years. Each new resurrection brings a new character that perfectly represents and appeals to the new youngest generation.
Few would argue that Marvel has brought the perfect Gen Z Spiderman to the big screen. But for those who still have doubts, YouTuber genyakostyk has created a video compilation of the MCU highlights perfectly demonstrating that Peter Parker is indeed a Gen Z kid.

After watching the video it becomes clear that Holland's Peter Parker has everything Gen Z is known for. With his cracked phone screen, taking selfies in mid-air, and having to be reminded not to text while swinging, he is definitely a "digital native," the term often used for Gen Z. Remember when he got stuck in a warehouse with nothing but his upgraded costume and was bored to death after 37 minutes? That's another Gen Z trait.
Just like his real-life peers, the MCU Spiderman can be goofy, awkward, and kinda weird, but he always has his heart in the right place and sincerely wants to help as many people as possible.

He doesn't care about money or his public image. He is smart, independent, and resourceful, but in no hurry to grow up. Yet his growth throughout the franchise is undeniable and heartbreaking.

Like other Gen Zers, Holland's Peter feels the pressure of being responsible for things he has absolutely no business being responsible for. For real people it is things like global warming or animal cruelty, for Spiderman it is saving the world. Remember his iconic "I didn't think I had to save the world this summer"?
