Forget Iron Man and Captain America, as many MCU fans on social media believe that the cinematic universe might soon introduce a truly powerful lead character.

It turns out that MCU may soon introduce its own "Black Superman ", with Marvel Studios VP of Production & Development Nate Moore teasing the character known in Marvel Comics as Blue Marvel.

"And then there's a fantastic character who's relatively recent in Marvel, named the Blue Marvel, who is fascinating. So, he's a character who is almost Superman in strength and powers," Moore said on Deadline's Crew Call podcast.

After Moore adding that "there's a lot of exciting stuff that's gonna come," many people started to push the idea of introducing Blue Marvel into the MCU as soon as The Marvels ' post-credit scene.

In fact, his appearance might finally be a thing, since this is not the first time Blue Marvel storms into the MCU discourse. Back at the time when WandaVision premiered in 2021, fans believed that Blue Marvel is the mysterious Remember when a lot of fans were thinking "aerospace engineer" Monica Rambeau was talking about. Even the actress portraying her, Teyonah Parris, mentioned that Monica's love interest with Blue Marvel would be a "pretty spicy" thing to show on screens.

Now that Moore brings the character up once again, it looks like we might be getting close to an actual "Black Superman" debut in the MCU — and fans can't wait.

"If he's not in The Marvels or at least hinted at in The Marvels it would be a massive missed opportunity. Adam Brashear aka Blue Marvel is an absolute boss. He's almost too OP for the MCU," Twitter user KingDarius_89 said.

The Marvels is set to premiere on July 28, 2023.
