Young Sheldon may revolve around the early days of the young boy genius, but fans' focus is not always all on him.

Whilst Sheldon is undoubtedly the star of the show, his quirky family members have also captured fans' hearts. One of the Cooper clan who has become a fan favorite is Sheldon's older brother, Georgie.

Georgie's story has taken a surprising turn in the most recent seasons, as he grapples with his and Mandy's accidental pregnancy and the idea of fatherhood.

Despite their many ups and downs, he has been determined to make things work, and prove to Mandy that he can be responsible and support her and their child.

When she was kicked out of her apartment for not paying rent, Georgie took her in and supported her financially without hesitation.

The Big Bang Theory shed some light on what the future may hold for Georgie and Mandy, but it is far from what Young Sheldon fans have been hoping for.

Adult Georgie makes his first appearance on season 11 of The Big Bang Theory leading up to Sheldon and Amy's wedding. It seemed that although Georgie had done very well in his career, his love life through the years had not been as successful.

He arrived in Pasadena single, with two failed marriages. He was first married at age 19 and then divorced and married an unnamed woman, with no mention of children.

So, according to The Big Bang Theory, there is no happy ending for the pair. If Mandy was the first woman Georgie married at 19, then obviously they didn't work out, and there is no mention of raising their child together, The Big Bang Theory doesn't even mention a child.

This could mean that Mandy cut Georgie off from her and their child, or their baby could have died at some point. In its 6 season run, Young Sheldon has deviated many times from events described in The Big Bang Theory.

Completely changing the story in Young Sheldon may create plot holes and discrepancies, but fans can agree that Young Sheldon has taken a direction of its own and should continue that way without being constrained by the details mentioned in The Big Bang Theory.

Change is welcome, and although Georgie and Mandy working out, in the long run, would be a drastic clash with The Big Bang Theory's storyline.

After everything the pair has already been through and how they have grown together, fans want nothing more than to see them have a happy ending because it's what they deserve, even if it means creating plot holes in The Big Bang Theory's previous story.
