Grey's Anatomy fans have not yet had time to get over the departure of main character Meredith Grey, as it was recently announced that Maggie Pierce will also be leaving the series.

Usually after the black stripe comes the white, but apparently not in this case, as another favorite character is in jeopardy.

Over the course of nineteen seasons, the show had many characters who left and returned, but it was Addison Montgomery who became the favorite of many.

Dr. Addison Montgomery made her debut in the season one finale. She is the unexpectedly arrived wife of Derek Shepherd, who moved to Seattle at that time to improve relations with her husband.

Kate Walsh played the role for two seasons before leaving the project in 2007 to focus on filming the Grey's Anatomy spin-off Private Practice, in which Addison was the lead.

Addison made a guest appearance in the 18th season of the series and continued her participation in the 19th season.

Although now it seems that the creators, who only brought back favorite character, are going to deprive the viewers of her again.

On the March 23 episode of Grey's Anatomy, Addison was run down by an anti-abortion protester, ending the episode and leaving viewers in the dark about how badly Addison was hurt.

The episode reflects the height of the danger faced by Addison, who traveled across the country in a mobile clinic, Station 19, to provide abortions to people living in states where abortion is not available.

In one scene, Addison explains to Bailey the dire situation for obstetricians and gynecologists: clinics have been set on fire and doctors have been attacked by protestors.

In addition, all of Addison's personal information has been made public, allowing particularly determined stalkers to ruin her life.

Despite her attempts to hide her presence in Seattle, her whereabouts have been traced.

Fans are hoping Addison avoids the fate of Meredith and Maggie, as she returned to the show only to leave so quickly.

Other viewers believe that it is high time for the show to end, as the plot has been exhausted and the writers simply do not know what to do with the characters.

"The writing is quite poor and very repeative. The storyline have some plot holes, or are super predicable, or make no sense. Also a lot if newer main characters are not developed enough and are mainly used as another main character love interest," Reddit user SnooCats9041 commented.

Viewers will be able to find out Addison's fate on March 30 when the next episode airs on ABC.
