Love is Blind Season 4 Gave Us Something Truly Despicable Already
Although the Netflix dating show is far from love when it comes to its fan community, because seriously, what just happened?
Don't fall for it, Love is Blind is far from being about love: in its fourth season, the show is still about humiliation and betrayal, and fans believe that the recent scene from the dating show has taken it to a whole new level of ick.
Oh yes, it's exactly what you think: that moment when one of the girls was confiding in a friend about a painful breakup, and Irina, sent by Micah to spy on her, had nothing better to do than mock her mercilessly.
The worst part of it all? Micah was the one who the girl's boyfriend dumped her for.
First of all, the classless act has immediately sparked outrage in the fandom, with people saying that Irina's behavior was probably one of the most despicable things in the entire show (and that's already a pretty high bar).
Second, the backlash is already so intense that Micah and Irina are "nervous," telling EW that their cruel jokes were nothing more than a "coping mechanism."
And even though Irina has already admitted in the interview that she may have too much alcohol at times, fans simply refuse to buy it.
"Drunk or not, do you laugh at people in pain? I can see just laughing/being an idiot in general and maybe thinking spying was a good idea, but laughing? No. She showed herself on TV and it wasn't pretty," Redditor H28koala said.
It looks like there is almost nothing that could redeem Micah and Irina in the eyes of Love is Blind fans. Their Instagram accounts are already filled with angry comments, and the fandom is clearly not ready to just sweep the duo's evil behavior under the rug.
Filming of the fourth season is already completed, with new episodes to be released through to April 14.
While the entire thing might still change (we doubt it will change for the better, though), it looks like Love is Blind season 4 already has its villains.
