Is Loki about to become the most powerful being in the Marvel Cinematic Universe?

Loki was one of the Disney Plus’ Marvel shows that really mattered for the general plot of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It’s no wonder fans are eagerly anticipating the upcoming season 2.

You've probably seen the trailer for Loki Season 2. If you haven't, go watch it now because it’s time for some wild fan theories.

One theory that comes from Reddit suggests that Loki is going to obtain a new superpower: Time-slipping.

In Loki season 1, the Time Variance Authority used TemPads to travel through different points in time. But in the trailer for the new season, Loki's just casually zipping through time.

According to the fan theory, after his visit to the Citadel at the end of time (in the finale of season 1), Loki can now slip through time without any gadgets.

Imagine Loki, who's already a handful, now being able to jump through time at will. This makes him a formidable opponent against Kang, the big bad villain with desire to control time and space. Loki figures out how to harness this power, he could easily become one of the mightiest players in the MCU.

The theory also suggests that this new ability isn't just a random plot device. It will start as a "curse" that Loki can't control but could become his greatest asset in the fight against Kang, or his variant, Victor Timely.

Some fans think the theory is outlandish but are totally on board with it. They love the idea, even if they think it's unlikely to happen. The theory adds a new layer to Loki's glorious purpose, making him more than just a trickster but a being with a grander destiny.

Another interesting take is that Loki's new power might be a paradox trying to self-correct, which could lead to his demise. This way of looking at things makes the theory a bit more sad, hinting that Loki's newfound ability might not be all sunshine and rainbows.

We will find out if the theory pans out real soon. Loki season 2 drops on Disney Plus on October 6th.

What's your take on this fan theory?
