Logan Lerman Breaks Silence on Starring in 'Percy Jackson and the Olympians'

'Percy Jackson ' movies alum Logan Lerman has finally spoken about his potential involvement in the TV series based on Rick Riordan's beloved books. However, those who have been enthusiastically fancasting Lerman as Poseidon for 'Percy Jackson and the Olympians' might not like the news too much.
When asked by The Hollywood Reporter if he could join the cast of the upcoming TV show, Lerman responded in a way that might be disappointing for some.
"It's an interesting question because, could you? Sure. But, I'm not. I'm not," he answered, acknowledging that any possible return would "just depend on certain factors, a number of things, but most importantly the quality of the script and the role," he said.
The actor clarified that the team behind 'Percy Jackson and the Olympians' has not reached out to him with any kind of offers.
Becky Riordan, the wife of the series author, was quick to additionally clear things up on her Twitter account.
"Thanks Logan! Fans, when he says "I'm not" this is true. Please stop asking this talented actor if he is in our show! I know, I know, I too dream of Percy saying to his father "Why do you look like the guy from that movie?" Sadly this is not happening," she tweeted, responding to the report.
Fans were left saddened by the news, especially after weeks of vigorously rallying for Logan Lerman to come back and play Percy Jackson's father in the TV show – years after the movies he starred in were criticized for the age-inappropriate casting.
"I get that Rick has expressed discomfort at the og actors coming back, but I wish we’d at least get a cameo. We hated the movies, but the age was the only probably with the casting. Logan was a perfect teenage Percy in my opinion." – @vaguevisitor
'Percy Jackson and the Olympians', with Walker Scobell in the titular role, is likely to premiere at some point in 2024. The precise date is yet to be scheduled.
