Liam Neeson Doubles Down on Star Wars Biggest Fail, Claims Magic is Gone

Andor is generally considered a huge success, with some other shows dividing opinions. Some fans have even expressed concerns that there is too much going on and it's all happening too fast.

But it's not just fans who think the franchise has been about full-on in recent years.

Liam Neeson, who starred as Qui-Gon Jinn in several movies and TV shows said, in an interview with Men's Health magazine, that "there's just so many" spinoffs and prequels that he's "lost track."

Asked if he would reprise the role for a spinoff, he responded with a very adamant "No".

And he doubled down on that promise when he appeared on The Late Late Show with Andy Cohen.

During the show, a fan asked him via a video call whether he ever thought he would reprise the role for Kenobi and if he was interested in doing his own spinoff.

And his response clearly reiterated his previous statement.

At the mere mention of Qui-Gon Jinn, Neeson threw his hands in the air and pulled a face that made it quite obvious he's bored of talking about making any sort of comeback as the Jedi who discovered Anakin Skywalker.

But just to clarify the point, he said that he believes there are "so many spinoffs of Star Wars " that the franchise is becoming diluted and taking "away the mystery and the magic".

However, in the same interview, the Irish actor said he had "loved" his cameo on Obi-Wan Kenobi that saw him reunite with Ewan McGregor nearly 25 years after The Phantom Menace.

And interestingly, in a 2022 interview with Comicbook.com, he said he would consider playing Qui-Gon Jinn again but only "if it was a film".

At the moment, feature films don't seem to be on the radar for Disney when it comes to the Star Wars franchise with execs ploughing on with yet more TV shows.

So, while it seems unlikely we'll see him donning his cloak and lightsaber again in the near future, the idea is not yet completely dead in the water.
