Law & Order’s Jesse L. Martin Continues Fighting Crime In New Procedural Drama, The Irrational
Always on duty!
If there's one thing audiences were afraid of when both the writers' and actors' strikes hit the streets of Los Angeles, it's a lack of new content. And while some networks are already facing that problem as they are unable to finish production on new seasons of their hits, there are still a few premieres that have already been made for you to enjoy this fall.
For all the fans of procedural dramas like Law & Order who will have to skip the start of this season, there is a chance to fill your free time with a newcomer. NBC's new original The Irrational is coming your way at the end of September, and its premise promises to keep viewers very entertained.
The Irrational tells the story of Alec Mercer, an expert in human behavior who helps law enforcement solve high-profile cases. If you enjoyed The Mentalist back in the day, you may find The Irrational to have a similar vibe. With the most wealthy and famous clients often come the most bizarre cases imaginable, so buckle up for a truly wild ride.
In addition, the show has recruited NBC veteran Jesse L. Martin, formerly known as Law & Order's Detective Ed Green, to portray Alec Mercer himself. This won't be the first time Martin has taken on the role of a detective since leaving Dick Wolf's universe. He has also been fighting crime on The CW's The Flash, portraying Detective Joe West.
It's worth noting that the lead actor not only starred in the show but also produced the pilot episode. Maahra Hill, Travina Springer, Molly Kunz, and Arash DeMaxi are all set to star alongside Martin. So you can be sure that you're going to see some great performances all around.
If you are interested in checking out The Irrational, be sure to mark September 25th on your calendar and tune in to NBC to catch the premiere of the pilot episode.
