Whether or not this is just a bribe to the fans, doesn't really matter.

No matter how many years Law & Order has been on our screens, viewers still look forward to new episodes.

However, not all parts of the franchise are equally popular: while some shows are cutting back on the number of episodes, others are trying to bribe fans with the return of once-beloved characters.

After Law & Order: Special Victims Unit was officially renewed by NBC for another season, fans could finally stop dreading the finale of the current season.

And now there are even more reasons to be excited: it has been confirmed that Amanda Rollins, portrayed by Kelli Giddish, will return to work with her former colleagues.

Giddish left the show at the beginning of this season after her character was shot and forced to quit her job and give up her career to teach at Fordham University.

While the majority of the audience is excited to see Rollins back, as she was a regular for 12 seasons, this comeback also feels like a bribe.

Or a plea to those who have stopped watching to give the show the chance it deserves.

Even more exciting for fans, the actress will not only be appearing on SVU, but also on an upcoming episode of Law & Order: Organized Crime.

This show has also been renewed for another season, but with a catch: instead of the usual 22 episodes, she will only have to work with 13 of them.

So once again, there is a chance that the producers are hoping that this comeback will boost their ratings. The thing is, even if this is the case: this is the bribe that loyal Law & Order fans are willing to take.

Don't miss out on the chance to see your favorites back on the small screen. Tune in to Law & Order: SVU on Thursdays at 9 pm on NBC.
