How will he handle a challenge of power?

Summary:

  • Law & Order: Organized Crime is one of the spin-offs of Dick Wolf's Law & Order TV Universe on NBC.
  • The show stars Christopher Meloni as fan-favorite character Elliot Stabler, who now works as part of the NYPD's Organized Crime Task Force team.
  • According to Danielle Moné Truitt, who portrays Sergeant Ayanna Bell on the show, the upcoming season 4 will have a rough start for Stabler.

It's no secret that the Law & Order universe does not spare even its fan-favorite characters from various terrible life challenges. From going undercover to find out the details of the most horrific crimes to becoming victims themselves, the detectives on these shows always have it rough.

Law & Order: Organized Crime season 3 finale, however, came as a shock even to those who find it hard to be surprised. Detective Jamie Whelan's death did not go unnoticed by viewers or the characters themselves, and everyone will still be affected when the show returns for season 4.

However, Whelan's absence will not be the only challenge that Christopher Meloni's Elliot Stabler will face from the beginning. As he left for another undercover assignment, leaving the team in a state of emergency, the comeback was never going to be smooth.

Luckily for viewers, each character's plight usually brings with it a lot of entertainment. Danielle Moné Truitt, who portrays Sergeant Ayanna Bell, promises that OC will put Stabler and Bell in some sort of power competition.

Truitt mentioned it while talking to TVLine about the state the team will be in for the first time in an upcoming season.

According to her, there will be a long road ahead for everyone to fully heal from the loss and move forward with their work:

“The team is still dealing with his death and just trying to cope and navigate things. <...> Stabler went and did another undercover job and hasn’t even been around over the last two months. It starts with him coming back to the office and just kind of trying to pick up where he left off. And I’m like, “Whoa, like, you haven’t even been here!” type of thing,” the actress explained.

It's safe to say that everyone will have a lot on their plate this season, but as hard as it may be, life moves on, and the police can never sit still when there's so much crime going on.

So no matter how challenging it gets, viewers will expect the team to do what they do best: make New York a better place.

To find out where the story will take both Elliot Stabler and Ayanna Bell, be sure to tune in to NBC on Thursday, January 18th for the season premiere of Law & Order: Organized Crime season 4 premiere.
