Law & Order: OC New Character is a Huge Deal For Stabler
It’s all about family this season.
Summary:
- Law & Order: Organized Crime is one of the branches of the extensile Law & Order procedural dramas on NBC.
- The show features one of the legacy Law & Order characters, Elliot Stabler, portrayed by Christopher Meloni.
- In an upcoming season 4, the viewers are set to meet two more Stabler brothers. The eldest one was released to be played by Dean Norris.
If there is one thing Law & Order: Organized Crime has never faulted Christopher Meloni's Elliot Stabler for, it's the portrayal of his family. It is perhaps the easiest and most obvious way to help viewers understand where a character like Stabler comes from.
His upbringing, the story of his father, and his mother, Bernie, who makes regular appearances on the show, all paint a better picture of his actions as an adult, the thought process and motives behind them. And according to teases and casting news, season 4 of OC is about to delve even deeper into this subject.
This season, two of the five siblings Elliot Stabler had growing up will be exclusively introduced to the audience. While the character of the younger one is still a mystery, the news about the casting of the older one has the internet abuzz.
Dean Norris As Randall Stabler In OC S4
Randall Stabler, Elliot's older brother, is an established and successful real estate developer. He left the family at an early age, but has managed to build a prosperous life for himself without additional support. The only weak spot is his relationship with his younger brother, which is strained by a mysterious incident involving their father.
Dean Norris is already known to the public for his role as Hank Schrader in Breaking Bad, as well as his appearances in The Big Bang Theory, Scandal and Superstore. Such a difference in genres suggests that his character in Law & Order has a good sense of humor.
In addition to being an established actor with a fairly diverse list of roles on television, Dean Norris is also already familiar with playing opposite Christopher Meloni. Back in 2014, both actors worked on and promoted the movie Small Time together, so there's no need to worry about their chemistry.
Though there is no official information on how many episodes Dean Norris will be sticking around for, it was previously reported that both the older and younger Stabler brothers will take over a large portion of season 4.
To see if that's true, you'll have to stay tuned until Thursday, January 18th to not miss the premiere episode on NBC.
