Law & Order Fans, This Netflix Hidden Gem Should Be Right Up Your Alley
You’ll never be able to look at Elliot Stabler the same way again.
As things aren’t looking too good and positive for Christopher Meloni as Law & Order: Organized Crime’s lead now, it is a perfect moment to look for something that could ease the moment of letting the fan-favorite character go.
While there definitely isn’t another Stabler on TV, Happy!’s Nick Sax may be the next best (or next worst) thing.
Where to Watch Happy?
SyFy's series Happy!, which was a massive hit when it was first released in 2017 but faded just as quickly from the collective memory of the internet, follows Christopher Meloni as Nick Sax, a former police officer who now works as a hitman to continue indulging in every substance known to man.
His life changes when his heart gives out and he suffers a massive cardiac arrest. Nick wakes up and sees a small animated unicorn named Happy, who is invisible to others but talks to Nick and claims to be the imaginary friend of his estranged daughter. Happy asks Nick to help save the girl from her kidnappers, and Nick reluctantly agrees.
Happy! is a unique show that manages to mix a variety of genres and spice it up with some very dark humor to make it even more exciting. Even if you don't care much about the main character, the fate of his daughter and the mere presence of Happy will captivate you enough to keep you watching.
The Rotten Tomatoes critics’ score for Happy! is already high enough, as the show lands on 84%. The audience rating, however, is even higher, with 90% of the viewers ready to recommend the show to others.
While all critics emphasize Christopher Meloni's perfect performance, with some going as far as to say it is the best of the actor's career, they also note the show's perfect pacing, brilliant writing, and exciting twists that you don't necessarily expect from your usual crime thriller series.
What’s even better is that both episodes of Happy! are available for streaming on Netflix, so there won’t be any difficulties with finding it online. So, if you are ready to join ex-cop and ex-hitman Nick Sax with his animated little friend on a journey to save a little girl, go ahead and tune in to Happy! today.
