Kristen Stewart Slams Marvel Movies as ‘F-ing Nightmare’ While Being a Perfect X-Men Cast
The actress may strongly disagree with this opinion.
Summary:
- Twilight ’s star Kristen Stewart has recently revealed on a podcast that she will most likely never join Marvel’s universe, but some fans have already found a suitable (yet unfeasible) role for her.
- According to those fans, the character’s balancing strength and vulnerability would once again prove Stewart’s ability for powerful dramatical performances.
- Despite the seemingly perfect fan-casting, the chances that the actress will ever join the MCU are incredibly low given her personal conditions of work and cinematic preferences.
Kristen Stewart, who has recently reflected on her past roles and also shared some cinematic preferences on the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast, is making more headlines than ever since she concluded her role in the vampire saga Twilight. While talking to Amanda Hirsch, the actress voiced her distaste for Marvel movies calling them a “f**king nightmare.”
Though Stewart added that she potentially could be a part of a superhero movie — with a condition that it would be made by Barbie ’s director Greta Gerwig who also happens to be the actress’s favorite director.
Frustrating for some fans, but with Gerwig not having any future perspective for superhero-related films, it’s very unlikely that we will ever see Kristen Stewart in this kind of movie.
Nonetheless, it doesn’t impede especially dreamy fans to fantasize about Kristen Stewart’s role in the MCU — and it seems like they’ve already found the right role for her.
So far nothing suits the Twilight’s actress more than Rogue’s role, according to fans, — with all the strength that marks her out of all the X-Men members.
In the comics, Rogue is presented as the strongest mutant that takes advantage of her personal talent to absorb other superheroes’ strength and thus single-handedly saves the entire planet. In the whole Marvel’s universe Rogue has a reputation of being almost invincible.
Though there’s another side of Rogue’s character that, as fans believe, Kristen Stewart could have nailed easily. Apart from her immense strength, inside Rogue is very vulnerable as for a long time she couldn’t reconcile with her power that made her get alienated from her family.
In this case Kristen Stewart could also deliver a great dramatical performance as she has already proven the ability to do so in early indie movies and big films like Spencer or her latest A24 project Love Lies Bleeding.
Sad for many, but however desperate fans wouldn’t be for Kristen’s appearance in the MCU, the chances of this ever happening are close to zero — despite the fact that she kicked off her acting career with another grand franchise.
It gets even more unfeasible given Stewart’s desire to work with acclaimed directors like Greta Gerwig — who will most likely keep herself from the studio that’s currently facing allegations concerning directors’ creative freedom.
