Kristen Stewart Admits She Was Ready to Marry Her Twilight Co-Star Robert Pattinson

When the Twilight saga hit the screens, so many teenagers and young adults fell in love with Bella Swan and Edward Cullen's story! The on-screen relationship between a human and a vampire became one of the main topics of discussion in schools all around the world, and for several years, you couldn’t go a day without hearing something about Twilight.

Young fans grew happier when the fictional love between Bella and Edward turned into a real-life relationship between Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson, the lead stars of the franchise. For four or five years, the two of them were largely considered to be the most stunning young couple in Hollywood at the time.

Then, it all fell apart.

The reality of the breakup led some fans to believe that there were never any real feelings between Stewart and her former co-star and boyfriend. However, the actress addressed this rumor during her 2019 appearance on The Howard Stern Show and assured fans that she was once in love with Pattinson.

When Howard Stern asked her whether she’d married Pattinson if he’d proposed, Stewart admitted that she would have — back then, she’d thought that he was her fate.

“I’m not a super duper traditionalist, but at the same time, like yeah. Every relationship I’ve ever been in, I thought that was it. <...> I’ve never really been the most casual person. It’s so weird actually being honest about this,” the actress answered.

Well, we can’t help but feel like it was a good thing that Robert Pattinson never proposed during the time they were together. Knowing how the couple’s story ended, it would’ve been a much tougher blow for the two to go through divorce instead of just breaking up. We’ve seen this way too many times in Hollywood.

And let’s be honest here, the media’s attention would’ve grown even more unbearable for Stewart and Pattinson if they had been married.
