It's fun to get a glimpse of the deleted scenes, but we're actually thankful these ones never made it into the final cut.

The first Iron Man movie released in 2008 started Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Should Iron Man face the same mixed reaction as The Incredible Hulk, released in the same year, the MCU would probably cease to exist the same year it was born.

But luckily, the film was a great success bringing a worldwide gross of $585.8 million.

In an interview with Screen Rant, producer Jeremy Latcham divulged a treasure trove of exclusive scenes from the iconic Iron Man movie that have remained concealed from public view.

These scenes were purposefully withheld from the special features on the home release, and it appears that this decision proved to be nothing short of a stroke of brilliance.

Rather than delving into the depths of Tony Stark's origins or meticulously laying the foundation for his legendary journey towards heroism, these scenes offer an entirely different allure.

Latcham shed light on the reasons behind the Kevin Feige's decision to keep these scenes shrouded in secrecy.

Recounting a conversation with Feige back in 2012, Latcham reminisced about the possibility of including these deleted scenes, which showcased Abu (the very terrorist responsible for keeping Stark captive) engaged in the mundane task of doing laundry, as an extra treat for fans.

However, Feige believed that the scenes would be too embarrassing for the production team, and decided against their release.

Latcham mentions that there was an entire subplot in Iron Man involving Tony Stark doing laundry for his captors, secretly using the washing machine parts to construct the Mark 1 suit.

These scenes have never been made public, and Latcham is happy about it as he thinks of them to be absurd and unconventional.

Even though many found it a bit unrealistic how Stark managed to build his first DIY suit from scrap materials in the final cut of the movie, let's not forget this guy is a genius (and billionaire, playboy, philanthropist).

But we should agree with the producer, — if they added all this laundry thing, that would look not only unrealistic, but also ridiculous.
