'Kenobi' Ending Leak Explained: Is it As Bad As 'Star Wars' Fans Think?
Let's try and be optimistic here.
Warning: the article contains major unconfirmed spoilers for 'Obi-Wan Kenobi '.
Over the recent weeks 'Star Wars ' fans have been fuming over the alleged leaked ending of 'Obi-Wan Kenobi' that suggested that Darth Vader's inquisitor Reva will have a change of heart, choose not to kill Luke Skywalker, and then lie to Vader about doing it – only to be killed by him for not telling the truth.
This predictably prompted fans to think that Disney opted for making Reva the ultimate 'good guy' despite her being a side villain. Many people suggested this would mean that Kenobi failed twice. Firstly, he failed to prevent Anakin from choosing the Dark Side, and then – failed to protect Luke, leaving him at the mercy of the inquisitor.
But is it actually this bad, or is there a way for the show to turn out to be great even if the leaks do reflect the plot of the series to some extent? For example, here's a fan theory suggesting how 'Obi-Wan Kenobi' still might end up being believable enough.
Clearly not everyone is ready to give up on 'Obi-Wan Kenobi', keeping in mind the possibility that there could be a way to pull off Reva's change of heart in a credible and exciting way.
Some fans were afraid that Reva is going to steal the spotlight in a show that is actually supposed to be about Obi-Wan, but other people argue this is also not necessarily true.
After all, there is still a big chance that the 'leaked plot' turns out to not describe the full picture, or end up being ultimately fake. And the only reason to find out for sure is wait until May 27 and see for yourself when 'Obi-Wan Kenobi' premieres on Disney Plus.
