One way or another, there's no happy ending to this story.

Though Succession never fails to surprise its fans, one thing is for sure: no one in the Roy family is safe from what's coming in the finale.

Fighting for their father's love and attention as well as his position at Waystar Royco, each sibling has been through a lot and hurt a lot of people around them along the way.

However, only one of them resembles the image of their abusive father so much that it becomes frightening.

While some may argue that Kendall has been preparing to take over Roy since day one, the very first episode of Succession that viewers saw, others believe that it has been a slow process.

What everyone agrees on is that his transformation will culminate in the finale, and it will not be pretty.

One of the fan theories suggests that Kendall will be the one to become the next Logan, both literally by becoming his corporate successor and metaphorically by turning into a literal abusive monster.

Throughout the seasons, we've seen a vulnerable side to him, as well as a willingness to be with his family when things get rough. But that could all be gone in the blink of an eye if he lets the dark side take over.

If he doesn't, it won't be a happy ending either.

As we've seen before, Kendall has a tendency to struggle with his mental health, and judging by the amount of stress he's been under lately, he's not exactly stable.

Fans believe that when he gets the succession and realizes how much of a burden it is and how much worse a person it makes him, he might give in to the pressure and take his own life.

Either way, the finale does not look good for Kendall Roy and his fans.

However, in the Succession universe, everything can change at the last minute, so buckle up and tune in for the 90-minute grand finale of Succession on Sunday, May 28 on HBO.
