Keanu Reeves' Reaction to Outdoing Barack Obama on Reddit Is the Sweetest
It is no secret that Keanu Reeves is the Internet's boyfriend as he has proven on numerous occasions that he is rightfully considered one of the sweetest guys ever.
It does not, however, stop him from making us go "aww" over and over again.
Modest as ever, the actor keeps muttering, "No way!" when told that his Reddit AMA has surpassed that of former U.S. President Barack Obama. He simply smiles and shares that it has been a fun experience for him. For us too, Keanu!
The Reddit AMA (Ask Me Anything) is the platform's well-known feature that allows members of the Reddit community to ask celebrities random questions. Ahead of the John Wick: Chapter 4 release, Reeves has made thousands of fans happy by answering their questions on the /r/movies subreddit.
When the discussion was still ongoing, the AMA garnered 243,119 upvotes (now over 259,000) and 32,855 comments (now over 33,000). The actor's AMA has become the most popular one of all time, beating the previous record-holder – Obama's AMA – by almost 30,000 upvotes and over 10,000 comments. Not bad for a movie star, eh?
While there are in fact not many people left in the world who do not know who Keanu Reeves is, we cannot definitively say that the actor is more popular than the former president.
The key factor here is that Obama's AMA happened over a decade ago – in 2012. The Internet has changed a lot since then, and the communities (including Reddit's) have grown significantly.
Who knows how much traction Obama would get now, should he decide to talk to the people of Reddit in 2023?
The point is we are happy for Keanu, and he deserves every win he gets for being such a nice guy! People have been sharing their stories of meeting the movie star, and they are exactly what you would expect them to be.
"I saw him in a coffee shop in NYC, I think it was 2016. The guy is every bit as nice, polite and humble as everyone that has met him says he is. The guy is a gem of a human," shares a Reddit user. Will this man ever do something bad?
Until he does, we just hope that the actor continues to set the best example for other Hollywood celebs.
