Kamala Khan And Nick Fury Are The Reasons Behind 'The Marvels' Reshoots
It's starting to look like an intriguing ensemble project: something every Marvel fan could definitely get behind.
'Ms. Marvel' premiered earlier this month, and Kamala Khan, played by Iman Vellani, managed to steal the hearts of millions Marvel fans. A Pakistani American teenager navigating the high school while coming to terms with her newfound superpowers proved to be a rewarding and understandable story for many, and Kamala's popularity grew with each new episode. And it seems that Marvel has definitely taken notice of this surge in popularity by making some changes to the upcoming 'The Marvels ' movie.
According to one insider, the movie headlined by Captain Marvel (Brie Larsen), Kamala and Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris) is being reshot to include more scenes with Iman Vellani and Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury.
"Reshoots for #TheMarvels will include more Kamala and Nick Fury. It will also tie the story in better with #SecretInvasion. As for the Clandestines... Idk at this point. A lot of my info was right, but I was told they're Kree and that doesn't seem to be the case." – @cinestealth.
Perhaps audiences are simply tired of Jackson's absence as the spymaster, and Feige has taken note, greatly expanding his role in 'The Marvels'. What's more, some fans agree on one significant retcon that is rumored to be revealed in future MCU films – that viewers might get not one, but two Nicks next year!
"Calling it now – that wasn't Fury/Maria getting blipped at the end of Infinity War, it was Talos+1." – /RGbudvit.
