Many fans have already abandoned all hope for City Primeval to deliver a decent finale and redeem the questionable series. So why not just make another spinoff?

Justified: City Primeval has not been exactly the show every OG Justified fan wanted to see. It's not like it's outright bad (even though many people are saying exactly that), it's just that it fails to live up to the good old standard that the fandom seems to really miss.

Seven episodes into City Primeval, fans are already mulling what in the world could save the upcoming season finale from misery.

However, some of them are already eyeing new prospects for the Justified universe's future; and it seems that the said future is bright no matter how bad (or good) the City Primeval finale turns out to be.

According to Reddit, there is a character in Justified who would be a perfect lead for a new spinoff, and that character is Tim Gutterson.

Think about it. He has everything to become a perfect protagonist without being a Marty Sue; after all, we don't really know anything about his past, and this could be interesting to explore in the new series.

The only background Tim has in Justified are the facts we got to know in the early seasons. Before becoming a Deputy US Marshal, he was an Army Ranger — that's where his sniper skills come from.

"He has the charm and wit to immediately be embraced as a protagonist, balanced with his struggle with PTSD and being a "keg waiting to explode", we could have a pretty compelling series," Redditor Blahlizaad believes.

However, there is no information on whether another Justified spinoff is coming or not. For all we know, we'll have to wait and see if City Primeval manages to redeem itself somehow — even if (especially if) you have already lost hope for it.

The final episode of City Primeval will air on FX on Tuesday, August 29.
