Meanwhile, the show didn't hesitate to invite stars for short guest appearances, who managed to leave a lasting impression on the viewers.

Michael Biehn

Known for his role of Kyle Reese in the iconic films The Terminator and Terminator 2: Judgment Day, the talented actor Michael Biehn appeared in season 11 of The Walking Dead.

Biehn portrayed the formidable character Ian, a warlord and the leader of the Riverbend group.

Chris Hardwick

Following his more than ten-year tenure as the host of the popular aftershow Talking Dead, Chris Hardwick finally made his long-awaited debut in the 9th season of the series.

In the 14th episode he played a walker who tried to attack Judith.

Robert Patrick

Another actor, known for taking part in The Terminator franchise as T-1000. Robert Patrick, also known for his role in True Blood, made an appearance in the 19th episode of season 10.

Patrick portrayed Mays, a character who Gabriel and Aaron stumbled upon while searching for supplies.

Hilarie Burton

Jeffrey Dean Morgan's real life spouse, Hilarie Burton, made an appearance as Lucille, Negan's wife, in a flashback in the finale of season 10.

As Lucille is diagnosed with cancer and later passes away, it is a very crucial chapter in Negan's story. And the real-life couple portrayed the chemistry between the two in the best way possible.

Honorable mention — Johnny Depp

As it turns out, Johnny Depp inadvertently made a cameo on The Walking Dead.

In the 12th episode of season 6, Rick's group had to find a walker's head that would look like Gregory to trick the Saviors.

Greg Nicotero confirmed that one of the heads was created based on Johnny Depp's face.

And in fact, the head looks exactly like him, even though Depp didn't take part.
