Many actors get nominated for an Oscar every year and still lose. Not Jennifer Lawrence, though: she first won her statuette and only then lost it somewhere!
Jennifer Lawrence has proven herself as one of the most talented modern actresses multiple times despite her rather young age.
While Jennifer is only 32 now, she's already become the youngest actress to have three Oscar nominations — and the second youngest actress to have actually won the most famous award!
The latter was a rather amusing event as Jennifer made her Oscar journey as hilarious as possible.
The actress is known for tripping at Oscars, and her being invited on the stage was no exception — perhaps, Lawrence was too nervous to avoid repeating herself and tripped on the stage stairs again, but that's not all.
As Jennifer shared soon after receiving the award, she managed to somehow lose the industry's most desired statuette and had no idea where it went!
The actress seemed not all too bothered with the loss but still a bit nervous: she repeated a few times that she hoped it was in Kentucky and that otherwise it was lost for good.
This news made waves as losing an Oscar has never been a common occurrence — or, perhaps, it was, but no one's ever decided to reveal that so openly to the public.
While hundreds of thousands of actors dream about this statuette every night, the second youngest actress to receive the award somehow lost it in just a few days!
Admittedly, that was not the only unorthodox treatment the world-famous award has received from Jennifer.
Unlike the vast majority of her colleagues, Lawrence never wanted to have her Oscar on display: instead, she decided to keep it hidden.
The actress didn't want to seem like she was bragging about the award, so there's that.
Funnily enough, this turned out to be the reason Jennifer lost her Oscar in the first place: at the time she admitted to losing it, she completely forgot about an argument with her parents.
They insisted on displaying the proof of their daughter's great achievement, and she was against it — so to please both sides, she just left the statuette at their place.
So don't you worry: Jennifer Lawrence's Oscar statuette is safe and sound with her parents, and her forgetting about it was kind of the whole point she left it there…
Even though this decision later put the actress through a bit of stress.
