Invincible’s season 2 is just around the corner, and this actor’s involvement just makes us restless as ever.

Papa Winchester posted a cryptic message in January, hinting that he would be joining the cast of Invincible. Ever since then, fans have been obsessing over who Jeffrey Dean Morgan will be portraying.

Thragg’s name seems to pop up among the top contenders. Grand Regent Thragg is this extremely powerful villain who is said to be the archenemy of Invincible and his dad, Omni-Man.

He has yet to make an appearance in the animated series, but people are convinced that Morgan could be the one to portray him. Well, he knows a thing or two about playing the bad guy!

Another popular theory is that the actor will play Conquest. He is supposed to be slightly less powerful than Thragg, but still evil enough to make Invincible go after him. Plus, Conquest is confirmed to appear in season 2 or 3.

Morgan’s role is still a mystery. The writers work hard, but the fans work harder. Fan art featuring Jeffrey Dean Morgan in various roles in the Invincible universe is taking over the Internet (and we don’t mind).

One fan imagined the actor as Omni-Man (who is currently voiced by J.K. Simmons). If Invincible ever gets greenlit for a live-action movie, we definitely know who to come to!

Morgan looks amazing in the role, and many people are quick to claim that he “was born to play” it. We couldn’t agree more.

While fans are overjoyed with the idea, some prefer to be cautious when it comes to turning their favorite comics into live-action, saying that animation is more than enough for now.

Anyway, whatever role Jeffrey Dean Morgan ends up playing in season 2, we are confident that he will do his best. At the very least, we will get to enjoy his presence in the Invincible universe (even if it’s in an animated series at the moment).
