Some fans believe that Samuel L. Jackson's iconic Jedi made a surprise appearance in the latest episode of Ewan McGregor-led series. But is this really the case?

The Disney+ series following the adventures of Obi-Wan Kenobi and young Leia Organa premiered to a massive viewership numbers and delighted fans with a huge number of Easter eggs, cameos and the return of many beloved characters, including Darth Vader and Owen Lars. And so, when Kenobi finally made it to the lower levels of Fortress Inquisitorius, viewers were shocked to find a huge hallway filled with the bodies of dead Jedi, with one corpse looking especially familiar. Fans quickly recognized Mace Windu, who was last seen thrown out a window by Darth Sidious in 'Revenge of the Sith'.

However, some facts largely debunk this theory. First, Windu lost his arm during the battle with Anakin Skywalker, while the man shown in episode 4 had both hands intact. Of course, some fans claim that his arm could have been replaced with a robotic one, but that still seems like wishful thinking.

Others are certain that Kenobi would not have run past the body of his close friend without stopping for at least a second to pay his respects to his fallen fighting brother.

"I don't think Obi would go right past if it was Mace. I do think he'll show up in some capacity someday. But that's not him." – @samtonyg.

So, if the man depicted in the Fortress Inquisitorius is not Windu, who could it be? This question will probably remain unanswered, but fans on Twitter are already exchanging ironic ideas about who this mysterious Jedi is.
