After the resounding success of Hogwarts Legacy, fans want their own Wizarding World Cinematic Universe, and it may be possible.

The story of The Boy Who Lived is one of pop culture's longest-running and most beloved franchises.

Although the last Harry Potter movie was released twelve (twelve?!) years ago, interest in the magical universe remains strong, as evidenced by the latest Harry-related installment of Hogwarts Legacy.

And even though the Harry Potter story itself has come to an end, fans agree that there are still many heroes in the universe who deserve to have their stories told.

In particular, fans want to see the history of the Black family, a series about the founders of Hogwarts and a Tom Riddle biopic.

The recent words of the Warner Bros. Discovery CFO Gunnar Wiedenfels were a source of hope that one day this might be the case. It became clear that the studio is seriously thinking about expanding the universe, although Gunnar did not give any specifics.

"The fact that we are enjoying this massive success with the Hogwarts Legacy launch 12 years after the last film came out, shows that there is so much opportunity, and we're only just starting to expand that," he told Variety.

Gunnar also mentioned The Warner Bros. Studio Tour Tokyo – The Making of Harry Potter attraction that will take place in 2023.

The attraction will take visitors behind the scenes of the Harry Potter films and will allow visitors to visit locations such as Platform 9 3/4, the Forbidden Forest and many others.

Fans are hoping that if such large-scale project is launched, it will not become a pipeline of new movies and series. After all, many people are getting tired of the Marvel Cinematic Universe seemingly taking a similar course.

"Marvel has been going for 15 years with several movies and shows a year since. I think the Wizarding World could do a lot of good shows in 7-10 years, they would just need to know when to call it quits," Reddit user Goal1 commented.

Since the expansion of the Harry Potter universe seems to be a done deal, we can only wait for new official statements.
