The show premiered a long time ago. The standards of behavior were a little different back then, but how well did they age?

The popular sitcom How I Met Your Mother has been a fan favorite since its debut in 2005, and one of the main characters, Ted Mosby, has been a topic of debate among viewers.

Is Ted charming or creepy? It's a question that's been asked over and over again, and the answer is not as simple as you might think.

Ted, played by Josh Radnor, is a hopeless romantic in search of his soulmate. He goes to great lengths to impress the women he is interested in, including elaborate dates and grand gestures.

The character's nature is to always be chasing the perfect woman, and in some situations, chasing is an accurate word to describe the character's actions.

His persistent pursuit of Robin, his on-again, off-again love interest, is a prime example of this behavior.

On the surface, Ted's actions may seem charming. However, upon closer inspection, his behavior can be seen as obsessive and even creepy.

For example, in one episode, Ted tracks down a woman he meets on the subway by going through her purse and finding her name and address.

He then shows up at her door unannounced, which can be seen as a violation of her privacy. Some fans said: "one would think he's very stalkerish, like to a desperate level."

In another episode, Ted tries to win over a woman by pretending to be her dream guy, even though he knows nothing about her interests or personality.

This manipulative behavior can be seen as dishonest and creepy. But other fans of the show point out: "It depends on how the woman feels, but his intentions were always good."

Whether Ted is charming or creepy is a matter of personal opinion. However, most fans consider his behavior to be cute rather than dangerous.

Many note that he often makes strange moves that can lead to confusion, but that's because he's a rather awkward guy who's not very good at communicating with women...
