As The Boys fans are gearing up for season 4 of Eric Kripke's audacious show and its spinoff Gen V, theories and speculations are arriving. This time, the fandom suspects that Soldier Boy's family tree still has some surprises up its sleeve.
One particular fan theory suggests that Golden Boy, America's "hope" for the new generation of superheroes, might be none other than Soldier Boy's grandson.
In season 3 of The Boys, we've already realized that Homelander was Soldier Boy's son. Well, isn't it kind of possible that Jason of the Godolkin University, known for his charisma and, might we highlight, thermonuclear powers, is also related to Jensen Ackles ' character?
According to Redditor NukaCola9, the theory author, it is highly likely.
After all, Golden Boy's unspecified nuclear powers may be very similar to Soldier Boy's. We never knew just how the Russian experiments with Soldier Boy ended. Maybe, having blasts inside him, Soldier Boy was able to pass them down via his genes, too?
We also know that Golden Boy's eyes glow — and this is something that Homelander, Soldier Boy's son, is also famous for. Those are little clues that may not mean anything, but so far, the theory looks quite plausible.
According to what little is known about Golden Boy, he is not as vicious and twisted as his projected relatives; unlike Soldier Boy and Homelander, Jason is known for being down-to-earth and trustworthy... at least his profile says so.
Many people already see him as the top pick for Vought's annual hero draft. That remains to be seen in The Boys spinoff, Gen V, which will premiere on Prime Video on September 29, 2023.
