Insider Hints At Secret Invasion's Big Twist That Will Shatter Hearts
Will the show actually manage to surprise us?
Disney Plus' Secret Invasion, focused on the infiltration of Earth by Skrulls, promises to surprise us with some shocking twists.
An insider CanWeGetSomeToast dropped a hint on Twitter that there's going to be a big Skrull reveal in Secret Invasion that'll leave our hearts shattered. Who could this mysterious Skrull be?
One possible option is Rhodey, also known as War Machine. Don Cheadle is officially part of the show, and he has already made a brief appearance in the first episode.
The revelation of Rhodey as a Skrull would make for an emotionally charged storyline. Imagine the impact of discovering that a trusted friend and hero has been replaced by a Skrull imposter. It would definitely be a heart-wrenching twist. However, some fans think that this twist would be too predictable.
Another candidate is Jimmy Woo, an FBI agent who's been enthralling audiences with his wit and charm. Jimmy Woo first appeared in Ant-Man and the Wasp, and later in WandaVision.
He's become a fan-favorite side character, and a Skrull reveal involving him would undoubtedly leave viewers stunned. Jimmy's transformation from a trustworthy agent to a Skrull would be an unexpected turn of events, causing plenty of emotional turmoil.
Some fans are joking about a potential reveal of Talos actually being a Skrull. Jokes aside, what if “a Skrull reveal” doesn’t necessarily mean that we will find out that one of the human characters was a Skrull along long? What if it hints that one of the good Skrulls we already know ends up being bad?
In the first episode we haven’t seen Talos in his true form, and it raises some questions. While it’s probably because they wanted to spare some budget funds on makeup, some theories suggest that either real Talos was replaced with another Skrull, or Talos is somehow the bad guy behind this whole invasion.
The wildest speculations imply that Nick Fury himself is a Skrull (at least, that Fury we’ve seen so far), or that Gravik is Fury’s half-Skrull son or his adopted son.
At the moment, we can only speculate about the true identity of the secret Skrull. Maybe the upcoming episode will shed some light.
