And it was probably the most emotional one.

Young Sheldon gave fans the opportunity to see one more The Big Bang Theory character at a young age. Howard appeared in the show’s prequel in season 2, and his cameo was actually very sweet.

But what made it the best was the fact that Howard didn't come alone, but his mother was also there.

Mrs. Wolowitz was never actually shown in the OG series, but she was one of the most beloved characters of the series.

“I love Mrs. Wolowitz. My favorite line from the show is when Mrs Wolowitz is yelling at the door “Who are you? Are you a sex criminal?” and Howard says “SEX CRIMINALS DON'T HAVE KEYS MA,” Redditor ConnectionLivid9956 said with nostalgia.

Her yelling indeed became one of the show's longest-running gags until the actress who voiced her, Carol Ann Susi, sadly passed away. But Young Sheldon found a brilliant way to pay tribute to Mrs. Wolowitz.

The thing is, Howard and Bernadette's daughter was also mostly off-screen, although we definitely hear her voice, which was... really close to her grandmother's. It even became an inside joke within the family. But things got even better in Young Sheldon season 2.

In The Big Bang Theory, Pamela Adlon was the voice of the daughter. So when the time came to hear Mrs. Wolowitz again in Young Sheldon, the showrunners used a combination of Susi's recordings and mixed them with Adlon's new ones (via Screen Rant).

The adorable combo allowed the spinoff to bring three generations of the Wolowitz family together onscreen, reminding audiences of the chemistry shared by the cast in the original show.

Everything was perfect in that episode, including the closing montage. Howard and his family’s cameos on the show were considered the best thing that happened to it.

Not only did it allow fans to have a glimpse of Howard’s life before everything, but it also brought back the sweetest memories. And that always works for the best.
