Is the actor back to work after the snowplow accident?

If there's one thing that's been true of every actor who's starred in the MCU 's most popular titles over the past two decades, it's that they all have a strong following of fans ready to support their new projects. However, some have had more varied and successful careers than others.

While Sebastian Stan recently stunned audiences with his transformation into Donald Trump on The Apprentice and Scarlett Johansson is set to lead the new Jurassic World movie, fans haven't heard much from Jeremy Renner, who portrayed Hawkeye, since his life-threatening incident with a snowplow in 2023. Here's what the 53-year-old actor has been up to.

Jeremy Renner Snowplow Accident

After making his last appearance as Marvel's Clint Barton, aka Hawkeye, in 2021's Black Widow and starring in the Disney Plus miniseries Hawkeye that same year, the actor continued to build his career on the big screen.

At the time, he had a starring role in Paramount Plus ' Mayor of Kingstown, but the show was postponed until 2023 when the actor was involved in an infamous snowplow accident.

The actor miraculously survived the accident, which left him with blunt chest trauma and 38 broken bones and required some time for rehabilitation.

In 2023, pre-recorded episodes of the docuseries Rennervations aired on Disney Plus, while the show's star, Jeremy Renner, was still unable to return to work.

Where Is Jeremy Renner Today?

Thanks to the actor's great shape, he was able to fully rehabilitate and return to work a year after the accident. In January 2024, Jeremy Renner was back on the set of season 3 of Mayor of Kingstown, which aired in June 2024. The TV show is available for streaming on Paramount Plus.

Another production that any fan of the actor will want to watch is Wake Up Dead Man, a standalone sequel to Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery, which is set to premiere in 2025. Renner stars alongside Daniel Craig, Josh O'Connor, Cailee Spaeny, and Mila Kunis.

In the meantime, the actor is working on his nonprofit, the RennerVation Foundation, which provides camp experiences for children in foster care to brighten their childhoods and give them a sense of purpose and belonging. This July's trip to Lake Tahoe was no exception.
