Turns out it's not that hard to spoil something that has already gone wrong.

There are a number of sitcoms that are considered to be the shows you can watch every time you feel sad or in need of a good laugh. How I Met Your Mother is one of them.

For nine seasons, Ted Mosby was telling his kids the story of how he met their mother. Although it seemed more like the story of his many failed relationships on the way to a happy ending. And most of it was certainly devoted to his on-again, off-again thing with Robin.

All those years while the show was on the air, fans were waiting for the biggest mystery to be solved. But when they finally found out who the mother of Ted's children was, they were really disappointed.

The thing is, the writers did not take the time to create a great love story. Instead, they wrapped everything up in a few episodes last season and completely blew up Tracy and Ted's storyline by putting him back together with Robin.

After that frustrating finale, fans said with one voice that it was the worst thing the writers could have done to this amazing show. But it wasn't until today that fans found out it could get worse.

The show got the spinoff How I Met Your Father last year, but it didn't do so well. Ratings were low and fans were not happy with the new cast and storylines. However, after the not so successful season 1, Hulu renewed the show for season 2. But even that didn't help, and the show was eventually canceled.

At first it may seem that the cancellation of the spinoff had nothing to do with the original series, but in fact it did. Fans had high hopes for the new show and wanted a great finale to the franchise.

But now that the show has been canceled and the story ended on a huge cliffhanger, the fans feel betrayed once again. Instead of making up for the bad taste that the How I Met Your Mother's ending left in viewers' mouths, the new show only made things worse.
