Sometimes it's just easy to ignore the inevitable until it happens.

How I Met Your Mother is one of those shows you either love or hate. There is no middle ground with this one.

But mostly, people seem to enjoy the sometimes questionable, but always interesting life choices of the gang of five friends.

The main story, as the title of the show suggests, is Ted's journey to find the woman of his dreams to become his wife and the mother of his children.

But unexpectedly (or is it really?), even after he actually found the woman of his dreams, he only had limited time to be with her, as she passed away from an illness.

Which actually made it possible for Ted to end up with Robin, the one girl he had an on-off relationship with during the show.

The fact that these two will finally be happy together was actually what fans were hoping for, but never dreamed they would see.

But it turns out that the finale of How I Met Your Mother has been subtly hinted at many times. And we never noticed!

The best example of this is a scene in a season 3 filler episode. It's the one called How I Met Everyone Else, where Ted was trying to get his kids to understand the power of stories and how the way you remember them can change things.

And here, he was telling a story about a girlfriend he had in 2007. The only thing he could remember about her was that they met online and she didn't want anyone to know.

Ted couldn't even recall her name, so in one story he just called her Blahblah. That just emphasized how insignificant her story with Ted really was.

But there was something she said that could have had a huge impact on the perception of the show if it had been caught in time.

Blinded by jealousy, Blahblah said, "I'm just some random girl to make Robin jealous, and after she takes you back, you probably won't even remember my name!"

And look how right she was!

However, the How I Met Your Mother finale had already been filmed by the end of season 2, and that just makes Blahblah's assumption a strong hint at the show's ending.
