This wasn't in the books, but it's obviously happening in the show: everything points at the fact that the next season of HotD will take us to Jon Snow's resting place.

You're right, perhaps, the Wall is more than just the place where Jon Snow died. But after Game of Thrones, all we picture when we hear about this location is Kit Harrington's seemingly lifeless body lying in the snow... For what it's worth, the news remains the same: HotD S2 will take us to the Wall!

Granted that in George Martin 's Fire & Blood, there was not a single scene involving this iconic location, it was presumably too great of an opportunity to showcase one the most ancient structures in Westeros one more time, and the showrunner couldn't resist the temptation. Whether the book fans like it or not, we're soon visiting the Wall again.

While there hasn't been an official confirmation of that, there have been two huge discoveries that allow us to promise that with certainty. First of all, last week, there was a video from a drone that provided us with a glance behind the curtains — and we saw pieces of the Wall there. Take a look for yourself:

Second of all, as if the video proof wasn't enough, HotD's sound editor, Al Sirkett, recently teased the return to the Wall in S2. Here's what he said, following closely after the big reveal of the Wall in the video above.

"If we end up going back North to the Wall, there are so many things you can do, you can show the white snow but just have that screeching sound of the wind," Sirkett mused.

If this isn't proof enough, we don't know what is. At this point, we're positive that House of the Dragon S2 is taking us back to where Jon Snow will die many years later, and there's no one that can convince us otherwise.
