Filming of House of the Dragon season two has recently begun, and viewers are already being teased with hints of events that will definitely be transferred from the books to the show.
In the ninth episode of the House of the Dragon first season, Aegon II became King of Westeros despite Rhaenyra being the true heir to the Iron Throne. Rhaenyra decided to resolve the conflict peacefully.
She needed allies, so Lucerys went to the Storm's End castle to meet Borros Baratheon on her behalf, hoping that he would side with the Blacks.
But the prince was met by Aemond, who wanted revenge on Lucerys for making him lose his eye. As a result, Aemond accidentally killed Lucerys.
In a recent podcast The Stuff Dreams Are Made Of, showrunner Ryan Condal hinted at the implications of Aemond's actions.

Condal said he spent a lot of time studying rat traps in preparation for filming the second season.
"I've been investigating a lot of rat traps recently, so I will say that. And they're very cool. That goes more to book-readers more than anything else, but stay tuned," revealed Ryan during the interview.
This comment clearly points to one particular storyline. According to the events of the book, Daemon contacted Mysaria and she found a ratcatcher (Cheese) and a butcher (Blood) who agreed to sneak into the royal chambers.
After capturing Alicent, her daughter Helaena, and the grandchildren, the mercenaries demanded that Helaena choose which of the children would be killed.
In the book Fire and Blood by George Martin, it is reported that Blood was soon captured and died under torture, but Cheese could not be found.
The episode is sure to be horrific. It may even surpass the Red Wedding scene from Game of Thrones in terms of gore.
There is no exact release date for the second season of House of the Dragon, but it is expected to air in 2024.
