The Office as a horror? Turns out, it works perfectly.

Nothing in the entire world screams coziness and comfort more than The Office. The perfect series to rewatch while covered in blankets and mouthing along your favorite lines, The Office will never be terrifying or unsettling... or will it?

It's Halloween season, so it's only natural for things to get spooky — even things that were not initially supposed to be creepy. The Office has fallen victim to the Halloween mood many times, but even the official YouTube account of the show grew to admit it by releasing an "unofficial" horror trailer for the show.

Yes, we said "horror" and "The Office" in one sentence. Firstly, it seems absurd, but let's admit it: Creed alone was always enough to make this show as creepy as it should be for Halloween.

But when sprinkled with spooky visual effects and edited in a certain way, The Office immediately becomes way scarier that Scream or The Ring could ever be!

Let's be honest, Dwight also did his best to make sure that The Office is absolutely horrifying — even without those special effects, the man was outright scary at times. In the trailer, he easily steals the spotlight with his spooky face mask, blades, and that skill to impersonate people in the office.

Lucky us, such thing as the horror version of The Office will never hit the screens. At least that's what the show's YouTube channel promises us in the video's title...

You know what's a really great idea for Halloween? Binge all the Halloween specials The Office had every season. If you feel the urge to return to your favorite comfort series right now, go stream it on Peacock!
