Hope Fades for Constantine 2, but Keanu Reeves Seems to Eye the MCU Instead
Will we finally see Keanu in a suit of armor fighting Thanos? The MCU will be complete!
It comes as no shock that Keanu Reeves is (always has been and chances are always will be) the Internet's sweetheart.
With the highly anticipated John Wick: Chapter 4 soon to be out, the actor is getting even more attention than usual (not that we need a reason to obsess over him!).
Last year, Constantine fans finally got some good news – after 17 years, the sequel is finally in the works. However, in late 2022 the DC bosses announced the universe reboot, which could potentially mean no sequel for anyone.
The fate of Constantine 2 remains uncertain, and Keanu does not want us to get our hopes up. Again. Sweet guy, he really is!
In an interview for Looper, Reeves shares that he can't confirm that Constantine 2 is definitely happening, saying that "they're trying to figure out what to do with that." If only they would hurry up a bit!
Keanu adds that he is still open to reprising "the role of John Constantine, but it remains to be seen." We are not crying, you are crying.
Since we might not see the actor as part of the DC Universe, maybe he can join the MCU? Please?
Fans have been pining for Keanu in a superhero cape for years, so there has been a lot of talk about which Marvel role would suit him the best. Reeves is actually all for it!
He thinks it would be "fun" and admits to loving Marvel movies, saying, "Hopefully, one day, they can find something that I'm suitable for."
Personally, we wouldn't mind if Marvel created the role for Keanu in case there is nothing "suitable" for him. What? He deserves it!
Before you all start a Keanu Reeves in the MCU petition, we just want to tell you that nothing is confirmed yet, although it is great that the actor is up for potential opportunities.
We may not get him to join the Avengers anytime soon, but who is to say we can't dream about it? Be right back, manifesting Keanu in Phase 6.
