Get ready to welcome the new Man of Steel.

Although many fans are still dealing with the heartbreak of losing Henry Cavill as Superman, some are already ready to move on and are taking a keen interest in his descendant, David Corenswet.

You may not be familiar with the actor's name, considering he hasn't been in Hollywood for very long. Although his acting career began in the early 2000s in some children's theater productions, his most famous roles came much later, in the late 2010s, with Ryan Murphy's TV shows The Politician (2019-2020) and Hollywood (2020).

Here are some movies and TV series to check out if you want to see the future Clark Kent in action before Superman: Legacy comes out.

The Politician

The show focuses on the political race on a smaller scale and follows the main character, Payton Hobart, who dreams of becoming president and moves up the political ladder by trying to become high school president first. Although David Corenswet was not in the lead role, he stayed throughout the first season and made a great impression.

Hollywood

This miniseries tells the story of several young actors trying to make it in Hollywood in the 40s. Like many of Ryan Murphy's shows, this one tackles a lot of social justice issues and allows all of the actors, including David Corenswet, to showcase their potential to the fullest.

Pearl

Although David Corenswet's role in Pearl wasn't that significant and can't be called a breakthrough in any way, it was a great step in the actor's career as the movie received a lot of recognition. This deeply psychological slasher film follows Pearl, a young woman who dreams of becoming a movie star and is willing to do whatever it takes to get there.

We Own This City

This HBO miniseries is a non-linear story based on the nonfiction book of the same name by Baltimore Sun reporter Justin Fenton. It follows the life of the Baltimore Police Department's Gun Trace Task Force, and the corruption surrounding it. For David Corenswet that was a chance to try himself in a role of a veteran investigator.
