The Upside Down arrived in real life right ahead of the new 'Stranger Things' season premiere – and not just in the United States.

It seems that the marketing team behind 'Stranger Things ' has decided to take it to the global level, with different events celebrating the premiere of season 4 being held across the world.

One of the most noticeable such events took place in Sydney's Bondi Beach, with the Upside Down apparently sending a gift to the Australians. It could be a gate to the underworld, it could be a dead tentacle creature from there – you name it.

Surrounded by yellow-suited people in masks, the installation looks pretty real. Given that it appeared overnight, the scene was even more intimidating under the moonlight.

Similar rifts have appeared all over the world, with the 'Stranger Things' promo campaign sprouting through New York City, London, Bilbao, Cologne, Krakow, and many other cities and countries across the globe.

In Poland, fans could spot a ticking clock frequently seen in the season 4 trailer.

In London, one could actually enter the portal leading into the Upside Down.

And the Empire State Building in New York City turned into the Empire Strange Building in honor of the show.
