Here's What Disappointed Kevin Feige About 'Multiverse of Madness' Marketing
A hint: this is where a lot of fans kinda agree with the Marvel honcho.
Have you been frustrated with how many cameos and details about 'Multiverse of Madness' were revealed in the promotional materials long before the movie hit the screens? You're not alone.
"There's been too much in the trailers, I don't want to talk about anything else," Marvel creative head Kevin Feige lamented at the world premiere of the Doctor Strange sequel. "But I will say, Sam has made this movie to be experienced on as big a screen as possible, and it's even the first one in a long time that 3D was really taken into account too, because the first Doctor Strange film I think was out best film ever in 3D, and this one now will be right alongside that."
Feige indeed has a point: from the trailers and TV spots alone, we got to learn there will be cameos of Professor X, Captain Carter, along with the big Illuminati reveal and sneak peeks at the multiple variants of both Strange and Wanda.
For many fans, it has ruined the magic of expectations, with pretty much all important details already spoiled in the trailers.
However, Feige did not delve into details about his frustration with the 'Multiverse of Madness' marketing.
Still, even with every single spoiler from the promo, the movie has been praised in the early reviews as one of Marvel's most successful endeavors, particularly when it comes to the "first MCU horror movie" milestone and the directing of Sam Raimi. 'Multiverse of Madness' hits screens on May 6.
