Jack Gleeson has never been anything like his Game of Thrones despicable character, but these days he looks even less like him.

Los Angeles Game of Thrones Convention last Friday brought together many actors from both the original series and its prequel, House of the Dragon. Among them was Jack Gleeson, the actor who portrayed one of Game of Thrones' most iconic (and hated) villains, Joffrey Baratheon.

The convention has proved once again (as if anyone doubted) that Gleeson is nothing like his evil character — not only because of his extra nice attitude and lovely personality but also about a completely different look he is now sporting. At first sight, one could hardly realize that they are looking at Joffrey Baratheon.

With his long hair and mustache, Gleeson took a lovely picture with another "throne usurper", Tom Glynn-Carney, who portrays Aegon II Targaryen on House of the Dragon.

Many people joked that Gleeson looks just like Joffrey was supposed to look when he grew up — whatever that was supposed to mean. Others noted that his new look gives off "creepy uncle" vibes.

Despite the fact that Gleeson took an indefinite hiatus from acting after portraying Joffrey on Game of Thrones, he addressed the rumors that people bully him because of hatred towards his character, assuring fans that he has "never had any negative fan experiences or anything" in connection with his portrayal of Joffrey.

Many people, however, believe that the inability of fans to distinguish the actor from his character was one of the reasons for Gleeson to quit acting after his Game of Thrones gig. According to Gleeson himself, however, this is nothing but a rumor.

"I feel like people are extra nice to me because they think people attack me, so maybe I should keep the rumor going," he said at the convention.

The last time Gleeson appeared on screen as Joffrey Baratheon was almost nine years ago. For him, the feeling is quite "wild", because Game of Thrones still feels like a big part of his life.

"I feel like an old man now. Old and wise," he said.

Joffrey Baratheon was killed off in Game of Thrones season 4, which aired in 2014, but the full truth about his death was exposed only in season 7.
