Everyone loves the Goonies. The 1985 cult classic still hasn't been topped, and it has become a movie everyone goes back to from time to time. The film has become something of a time capsule, capturing the childhood of many as it was back then.

That's why people still remember the story beats, the characters, and the world of the Goonies so well. Mikey, Mouth, Data, Andy, and so many others feel like childhood friends rather than just movie characters. It's been almost 40 years since the movie's release, and many are wondering where their favorite characters are and what they're doing.

Some actors, like Sean Austin, who played Mikey, received great acclaim over the years. From Lord of the Rings to Stranger Things. Our old pal Mikey has quite the resume. However, many fans might not even recognize Chunk when they see him. Jeff Cohen has changed a lot.

Jeff Cohen played Chunk in the movie. A lovable goofball who was always there for a good time. He became a household name after the film's release, mostly because of his antics. His appetite and how he used to lift his shirt and wiggle around made everyone laugh. However, he did help save the way towards the end, which made him all the more memorable.

However, after a few more roles, he disappeared from the acting scene. This left many fans disappointed and wondering where Jeff Cohen went. He starred in a few sitcoms and TV series, such as Popeye. His last role was in Perfect Harmony in 1991.

His story is somewhat sad, but there's a happy ending here. Jeff received widespread recognition for his role as Chunk. After playing that role, he lost weight and became totally unrecognizable. He tried to avoid being typecast as another lovable overweight goofball, so he couldn't find good roles. Acting gave him up, according to the man himself.

He didn't mope but instead turned a new leaf and became a production assistant for Richard Donner, the director of Goonies. Later, he began pursuing a law career and enrolled in a university. He expanded his repertoire and eventually received his B.S in Business from UC Berkeley and Juris Doctor from the UCLA Law School.
