HBO Max's Penguin Series Might Include This Classic Batman Villain
It looks like a new villain will roam the streets of Gotham alongside Colin Farrell's Penguin in the upcoming HBO Max series devoted to the iconic DC mobster.
Matt Reeves' 'The Batman ' was released this past March to great reviews from fans and critics alike, so Warner Bros.'s decision to extend film's universe with TV series is entirely understandable. The upcoming show, currently shooting, will center on Penguin, one of the most prominent and oldest adversaries of the caped crusader. Farrell has already proven himself capable of bringing this character to life on screen, so seeing him again in his solo project is sure to make many fans happy.
However, it looks like Penguin won't be alone in the series: a dangerous new classic Batman villain will finally make his long-awaited live-action debut. According to 4chan rumor, HBO Max is looking to cast for the role of "actor who was driven mad when he heard he couldn't participate in a play due to his deformed face." Sounds kind of familiar, right?
Of course, the character in question is Clayface, known for his unparalleled ability to transform his body to look like any person he desires, which makes him a great actor but also drives him pretty crazy. Clayface has been DC's leading villain since the Golden Age of Batman comics, so his introduction to new audiences feels long overdue.
Fans are already speculating about the villain's involvement in the upcoming series and choosing an actor who will be perfect for the role.
