After all this time, fans are still mad about a certain Weasley sibling that could have rocked it.

Having watched all Harry Potter movies, one might wonder what was so special about Ginny Weasley that made Harry fall in love with her? In the movies, she seems to be as average as possible, somewhat dull even — which is even more unfair if you read the books.

Book fans are still going ballistic over the way the movies ruined Ginny Weasley. Don't get these people wrong — it's not that they have any issues with Bonnie Wright, but rather about how writers and directors treated the character. It was their doing after all that Ginny ended up being just a little girl with a somewhat weird crush, who Harry didn't even realized existed, only to caught his eye after she started dating Dean. It felt like Harry only got interested in Ginny after she became visibly interesting to other guys.

In the books, Ginny was so much more than that. A gifted witch, she proves herself to be independent and strong, while also doing great in Quidditch and enjoying a lot of attention from boys — not least due to her charisma and drive.

But the movies failed to capture that, the majority of Harry Potter fans believe. In fact, they are heartbroken about the fact that even the nameless waitress from the sixth movie had more chemistry with Harry than Ginny ever had.

"I love Ginny. She is probably my favorite character. But the movies ruined her, and it isn't Bonnie's fault. Harry had more chemistry with Hedwig than any actual girl in the movies," Redditor RandomGuyOnline71 argued.

Some people, however, note that Bonnie could have put more effort in her character as well.

"I found Bonnie too rigid and stoic on-screen for her to have much romantic chemistry with anybody," Redditor KeyEntityDomino said.

No matter who fans choose to blame, the movies don't seem to do justice to Ginny's character at all. Now that the movie saga is over, it will sadly remain this way... unless there is some sort of a reboot coming in the long run.
