Guest cameos are a common thing in sitcoms. Usually these are huge movie stars, but sometimes it can be a cast member's relative.

Like it happened in The Office in the season 6 episode 18 titled The Delivery: Part 2. In the episode, Pam has just given birth to her and Jim's first baby daughter Cece.

But then there was breastfeeding trouble, and the hospital called their lactation consultant to help.

The scene is very funny, because their consultant is a young man, and his physical handling of Pam makes Jim very uncomfortable. But not Pam; and not even Jenna Fisher, who portrayed her. And here's why.

"Well, when the writers came up with this storyline of the lactation consultant, Paul Lieberstein approached me, got me aside and said, Hey, Jenna, we have this really funny idea, but it involves a man kind of like squishing your breasts around.

How do you feel about that? Like, that would be a guest actor. Are you okay with it? And I said, Well, I think it would be maybe a little awkward now that you mention it. And he said, Well, what if that person was your fiancee, Lee?" Jenna told during the Office Ladies podcast.

And that's how it happened. The Office was Lee Kirk's debut in the world of TV and film.

Fischer's now-husband studied at the Goodman School for Acting in Chicago, and is a writer and director who has worked on the films Ordinary World and The Giant Mechanical Man, as well as The Office season 9 episode Vandalism.

It's actually very sweet that the creative team of the show is so considerate and supportive of its cast crew. And frankly, having two husbands in one room with a newborn might have been just what Pam needed.
